Join Tash Bell, author of Middle-Grade novel, The Swish, for a Festive Fashion Upcycling Workshop!
On Saturday 9th December, The Rocketship turns into Santa’s sustainable style studio. Get creative, and learn how to transform an old sweater into a Christmas jumper. Turn your fave T-shirt festive, or give an old jacket some jingle!
HOW IT WORKS: Bring along a preloved jumper or top – or any item from your wardrobe that needs a wonderful (or wacky!) winter makeover and Tash will provide all the customising kit, sewing tips and upcycling inspiration to get your festive Swish on!
Tickets for this event are £6 (accompanying adults don’t need a ticket) and can be purchased here – you will also receive a free copy of Tash’s novel, The Swish.
About The Swish –
Screw waiting for life to hand me a fairytale… I’m gonna earn it!
Kat is broke, bullied by mean girls, and blanked by her crush. But she has one escape: sewing!
From scraps and cast-offs she creates gorgeous clothes she models for her mates. But when her parents can’t afford heating bills, dare Kat sew her own gown for the Winter Wonderland Ball? Or will the haters rip her to shreds?
Please note that The Swish is suitable for ages 10+
